Joseph Downing 
Joseph was born in 1583 in Of Ipswich, Suffolk, England.1 Joseph's father was George Downing and his mother was Miss Bellamy. His paternal grandparents were Jeffrey Downing and Elizabeth Wingfield. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Joshua, Emanuel, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Elnathan, Nahomie and Anne. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Joseph, James, John, George, Susan, Dorcas and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 73 in August 1656 in Salem, Massachusetts.1 -
