Elnathan Downing 
Elnathan was born about 1597 in St. Lawrence, Ipswich, Suff., England.1 Elnathan's father was George Downing and his mother was Miss Bellamy. His paternal grandparents were Jeffrey Downing and Elizabeth Wingfield. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Joshua, Joseph, Emanuel, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Nahomie and Anne. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Joseph, James, John, George, Susan, Dorcas and Elizabeth. He died in 1609.1 -
