Dorcas Downing

Dorcas was born about 1600 in St. Mary Of the Tower, Ipswich, Suffolk, England.¹ Dorcas' father was George Downing and her mother was Dorcas Blois. Her paternal grandparents were Jeffrey Downing and Elizabeth Wingfield; her maternal grandparents were William Bloys and Cecily Wingfield. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, James, John, George, Susan and Elizabeth. She had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Joshua, Joseph, Emanuel, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Elnathan, Nahomie and Anne.¹
