Thomas Seth Cushing 
Thomas Seth was born on January 3rd, 1829 in Wyoming, New York.1 Thomas Seth's father was Seth Cushing and his mother was Persis Peabody Thomas. His paternal grandparents were Seth Cushing and Hannah Bonney; his maternal grandparents were Elias Thomas and Mary Alden. He had three brothers named Charles, Horace Gay and George Wales. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 68 on February 17th, 1897 in Wyoming, New York.1 General Notes

Thomas Cushing was engaged in the drug and grocery business at Wyoming for many years. He was appointed Postmaster by President Pierce, and held the office 9 years. He was also appointed Postmaster during President Cleveland's first term.
