Horace Gay Cushing 
Horace Gay was born on January 29th, 1832.1 Horace Gay's father was Seth Cushing and his mother was Persis Peabody Thomas. His paternal grandparents were Seth Cushing and Hannah Bonney; his maternal grandparents were Elias Thomas and Mary Alden. He had three brothers named Charles, Thomas Seth and George Wales. Horace Gay Cushing and his brother, Thomas Seth, were engaged in the drug and grocery business in Wyoming for many years, under the name of "Cushing Brothers". In 1883, he sold his interest in the business to his brother; bought a furniture and undertaking business in Wyoming, and was still conducting the same in 1905.
