Theophilus Cushing 
Theophilus was born in 1657 in Hingham, Mass..1 Theophilus' father was Daniel Cushing and his mother was Lydia Gilman. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Cushing and Nazareth Pitcher; his maternal grandparents were Edward Gilman and Mary Clark. He had four brothers and a sister, named Peter, Daniel, Jeremiah, Matthew and Deborah. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 61 in 1718 in Hingham, Mass..1 General Notes

Theophilus was a farmer. He served as Selectman in 1697, 1707, and 1715. He served as Representative in 1702, '04, '07, and '13.
