Vara Blackburn 
Vara was born in October 1885 in Screven Co., GA.1 Vara's father was James Marion Blackburn and her mother was Frances Mozell Powell. Her paternal grandparents were William Blackburn and Mary Jane Waters. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin William, Charles Henry, Rollo James, Lawrence Harry, Ellie, Lillie, Temperence, Ila Jane and Sarah Alma. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Dorcas. She died at the age of 46 in May 1932.1 -
