Temperence Blackburn

Temperence was born on March 30th, 1887 in Screven Co., GA.¹   Temperence's father was James Marion Blackburn and her mother was Frances Mozell Powell.  Her paternal grandparents were William Blackburn and Mary Jane Waters. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin William, Charles Henry, Rollo James, Lawrence Harry, Ellie, Lillie, Vara, Ila Jane and Sarah Alma.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Dorcas.  She died at the age of 56 on April 12th, 1943.¹
