Jane Simms Powell 
Jane Simms was born in 1814 in Virginia, USA.1 Jane Simms' father was Cuthbert Powell and her mother was Catherine Simms. Her paternal grandparents were Levin Powell and Sally Harrison; her maternal grandparents were Charles Simms and Nancy Douglas. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Llewellyn, Charles Leven, Cuthbert, John Simms, Ann, Mary Emily, Ellen and Frances. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 87 in 1901.1 -
