Robert Carter Jr was born on July 30th, 1766 in "Blandfield," Essex County, Virginia. Robert Carter Jr's father was Robert Beverly and his mother was Marie Byrd Carter. He had eight brothers and seven sisters, named William, Robert III, Burton, Carter Sr, Byrd, James Miles, Peter Randolph, McKenzie, Maria, Lucy, Anna Munford, Munford, Evelyn Byrd, Jane Bradshaw and Harriet. He was the third oldest of the sixteen children. He died at 5 months old on January 14th, 1767.-
