Adolf von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld

Adolf was born in 1743. Adolf's father was Wilhelm von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld and his mother was Charlotte von Anhalt-Bernburg. His paternal grandparents were Philipp von Hessen-Philippsthal and Katharine Amalie von Solms-Laubach. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named Wilhelm, Friedrich, Philipp, Karl Wilhelm, Georg, Christian, Ludwig Friedri, August, Charlotte, Johanna Charlo, Karoline, Ulrike Eleonor, Anne and Dorothea. He was the second youngest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 60 in 1803.
