John Jacob+ Troxell 
John Jacob+ was born on May 26th, 1781 in near Egypt, PA. John Jacob+'s father was John+ Troxell and his mother was Elizabeth+ Mohler. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Johannes Troxell and Anna Sophia Dotterer; his maternal grandparents were Henry+ Mohler and Barbara+ X. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Abraham, David, Michael, William, Elizabeth, Salome, Anne Marie, Hannah and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died in Fairfield, OH 1831-1834. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA.General Notes
John was elected Gettysburg Street Commissioner in 1812.
His parents were also in Ohio then. His mother died shortly thereafter, and his father then returned to Gettysburg, PA.
