Samuel Hobson Spence

Samuel Hobson was born in 1832 in Perry Co., AL. Samuel Hobson's father was Alexander Spence and his mother was Ellender Hobson. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Hobson and Judy Murphy. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named John Franklin, William N., Moses Foster, Weldon T., Judith Emaline, Rosannah `Rose` B., Elizabeth Martha, Willie Ann, Martha J. Elizabeth, Letha E. and Susan Frances. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 31 in 1863 in Itawamba Co., MS.
