Silas Hampton 
Silas was born on June 20th, 1832 in Wilkes Co., NC. Silas' father was Micajah Hampton and his mother was Hannah Mikels. His maternal grandparents were David Hugh Michael and Lucinda Doty. He had eight brothers and a sister, named Turner, David, Noah, John, Rufus, Lorenzo, Romulus Augustus, William and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 79 on October 27th, 1911 in Tekama, Burt Co., NE.General Notes
