Alexander Elphinstone 
Alexander was born on May 28th, 1552 in Elphinstone, Stirlingshire, Scotland. Alexander's father was Robert Elphinstone and his mother is Margaret Drummond. His paternal grandfather was Alexander Elphinstone and his paternal grandmother is Catherine Erskine; his maternal grandparents are John Drummond and Margaret Stewart. He had a sister named Agnes. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 85 on January 11th, 1638.General Notes
