Jean Elphinstone 
Jean was born about 1582. Jean's father was Alexander Elphinstone and her mother is Jean Livingstone. Her paternal grandfather was Robert Elphinstone and her paternal grandmother is Margaret Drummond; her maternal grandfather was William Livingstone and her maternal grandmother is Agnes Fleming. She had two brothers and a sister, named James, Alexander and Christian. She is the second oldest of the four children.General Notes
