John IV Beals 
John IV was born in 1738 in Guilford, NC. John IV's father was John III Beals and his mother was Margaret Esther Hunt. His paternal grandparents were John II+ Beals and Sarah+ Bowater; his maternal grandparents are William Hunt and Mary Woolman. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William, John H, William, Lydia, Ruth, Hannah and Rachel. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 71 on April 24th, 1809 in Guilford, NC.General Notes
