John V Beals 
John V was born on September 24th, 1780 in Guilford, NC. John V's father was John IV Beals and his mother was Susanna Johnson. His paternal grandparents were John III Beals and Margaret Esther Hunt; his maternal grandparents are James Johnson and Margaret Cook. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William, Bowater, Caleb, Jesse, Peter, Eleazer, Sarah, Margaret and Hannah. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 71 on July 9th, 1852.General Notes
