John III Beals 
John III was born on February 17th, 1717 in Nottingham, Chester Co., PA. John III's father was John II+ Beals and his mother was Sarah+ Bowater. His paternal grandparents were John Beals and Mary Clayton; his maternal grandparents were John Bowater and Frances Corbet. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, Bowater+, Sarah+, Lydia, Mary Ann, Phoebe, Prudence, Hannah and Rachel. He was the third oldest of the ten children.
