Mary Ann was born in 1722 in Chester Co., PA. Mary Ann's father was John II+ Beals and her mother was Sarah+ Bowater. Her paternal grandparents were John Beals and Mary Clayton; her maternal grandparents were John Bowater and Frances Corbet. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John III, Thomas, Bowater+, Sarah+, Lydia, Phoebe, Prudence, Hannah and Rachel. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 68 on July 10th, 1790 in New Garden Mm, Guilford, NC.General Notes
