William Beals 
William was born about 1740 in NC. William's father was John III Beals and his mother was Margaret Esther Hunt. His paternal grandparents were John II+ Beals and Sarah+ Bowater; his maternal grandparents are William Hunt and Mary Woolman. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John IV, John H, William, Lydia, Ruth, Hannah and Rachel. He is the fourth oldest of the eight children.General Notes
