James Christopher Ashbaugh 
James Christopher was born in January 1808 in Nelson Co., KY. James Christopher's father was David Ashbaugh and his mother was Catherine Shoptaugh. His paternal grandparents were Frederick* Ashbaugh and Sophia* Sells. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, John, Christopher Columbus, Henry, William, Artemesia and Sophia. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 68 on January 27th, 1876 in Nelson Co., KY. He was buried in McClellan Cemetery.-
