William Ashbaugh

William was born about 1814 in Nelson Co., KY. William's father was David Ashbaugh and his mother was Catherine Shoptaugh. His paternal grandparents were Frederick* Ashbaugh and Sophia* Sells. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, John, Christopher Columbus, James Christopher, Henry, Artemesia and Sophia. He is the youngest of the eight children.
