John Ashbaugh 
John was born on March 16th, 1794 in Hagerstown, MD. John's father was David Ashbaugh and his mother was Catherine Shoptaugh. His paternal grandparents were Frederick* Ashbaugh and Sophia* Sells. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, Christopher Columbus, James Christopher, Henry, William, Artemesia and Sophia. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 59 on July 13th, 1853 in Hart Co., KY.General Notes
