William III was born in 1173 in Arundel Castle, West Sussex, England.1   William III's father was William II le Breton d'Aubigny Earl of Sussex and his mother was Maud or Matilda de St. Hilary du Harcouet.  His paternal grandparents were William Stronghand d'Aubigny Earl of Arundel, Lincoln and Sussex and Adeliza De Brabant [Queen 0f England]; his maternal grandparents were James Sidonis de St. Hilary Lord and Aveline de St. Hilary. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Hugh II, Alan, Godfrey, Cecily, Avice Agnes de Arundel and Joan. He had five half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Richard  "Strongbow" 4th Earl, Richard (Sir) 6th Earl, James de, Roger de, Henry de, Mabel de, Maud Matilda de, Joane de, Elena de, Aveline de, Aveline, Eveline (Aveline) de ' and Mabel.  He died  due to on Crusade at the age of 48 on February 1st, 1221 in Cainell (near Rome), Latium, Italy.  He was buried on March 30th, 1221 in Wymondham Abbey, Norfolk, England.1

‌William III and Mabel were married in a religious ceremony about 1191 in England.  They had two sons and seven daughters, named William IV de, Hugh, Cecily, Isabella, Colette, Cicely, Maud, Nichole and Isabella.
