Aveline de was born about 1171 in Clare, Suffolk, England.  Aveline de's father was Roger "The Good" 5th Earl de Clare and her mother was Maud or Matilda de St. Hilary du Harcouet.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard de Clare , 1st Earl of Hertford ' and Adeliza de Guernons Countess de Meschines; her maternal grandparents were James Sidonis de St. Hilary Lord and Aveline de St. Hilary. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Richard  "Strongbow" 4th Earl, Richard (Sir) 6th Earl, James de, Roger de, Henry de, Mabel de, Maud Matilda de, Joane de, Elena de, Aveline, Eveline (Aveline) de ' and Mabel. She had seven half-brothers and five half-sisters, named James, Roger, Henry, William III, Hugh II, Alan, Godfrey, Mable, Eveline, Cecily, Avice Agnes de Arundel and Joan.  She died about June 4th, 1225 in of Essex,England.
