Rachel Catherine Shipley 
Rachel Catherine was born on December 10th, 1848 in Sullivan Co., Tennessee.1 Rachel Catherine's father was John H Shipley and her mother was Harriet Jane Varner. Her paternal grandparents were Orson Shipley and Hannah O Hunt; her maternal grandparents are William Varner and Sebrina Moulton. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Orson, William Melvin, John Moulton, Benjamin Franklin, Amanda Rada, Hannah S and Serena Cordilia. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 70 on May 11th, 1919 in McDonald Co., MichiganSSOURI.1 General Notes
