Benjamin Franklin was born in December 1862 in McDonald Co., MichiganSSOURI.1 Benjamin Franklin's father was John H Shipley and his mother was Harriet Jane Varner. His paternal grandparents were Orson Shipley and Hannah O Hunt; his maternal grandparents are William Varner and Sebrina Moulton. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Orson, William Melvin, John Moulton, Rachel Catherine, Amanda Rada, Hannah S and Serena Cordilia. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 67 in 1929 in Washburn, MichiganSSOURI.1 General Notes
