Robert Marshall Ayres 
Robert Marshall was born on June 12th, 1838 in Buckingham, Virginia.1 Robert Marshall's father was John Bransford Ayres Col. and his mother was Mary Marshall Moseley. His paternal grandfather was John (Parson Jack) Ayres Rev. and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Bransford; his maternal grandparents were Spotsford Lewis Moseley and Mary Marshall. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Nathan W., Edwin Moseley, Lewis Spotswood, Mary Frances, Susannah, Emmeline Moseley and Nancy L.. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Albert B., John William, Samuel Ford, William B., Elizabeth Hannah Hales and Maria Ann. He died at the age of 65 on September 24th, 1903 in Richmond, Virginia.1 -
