John Washington Thompson

John Washington was born on June 12th, 1831 in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisianna.¹ John Washington's father was Jeremiah Thompson and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Tally Jones. His paternal grandparents were Balaam Thompson and Olive Melton. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Balaam, Thomas, Jeremiah, Elijah, Kennon Kendrick, Andrew Jackson, Sarah, Margery Mary O., Mary Margany, Rebecca Ellen, Delilah Octavia and Temperance. He was the second youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 46 on May 1st, 1878 in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisianna.¹
