Elijah Steward Meadows 
Elijah Steward was born on February 19th, 1850 in Greene Co., Virginia.1 Elijah Steward's father is Joel Meadows and his mother is Elizabeth Breeding. His paternal grandparents were John Meadows and Mary Harness. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Jeremiah Maxwell, John Wesley, Synda Ann, Sarah E., Mary Frances, Rebecca Jane, Susanna Eliza, Martha Susan, Nancy W., Matilda Catherine and Harriet Eliza. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 72 on August 29th, 1922. He was buried in Dean Family Cemetery, Swift run Gap.1 1 General Notes
