Eleanore was born in October 1292 in Gloucester, England.1   Eleanore's father was Gilbert 'The Red Earl' De Clare and her mother was Joan "of Acre" Plantagenet.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard De CLARE and Maud De LACY; her maternal grandparents were Edward I "Longshanks" Plantagenet and Eleanor Of CASTILE AND LbEON. She had a brother and two sisters, named Gilbert de, Margaret and Elizabeth de. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thomas and Mary De.  She died at the age of 64 on June 30th, 1357 in , Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England.  She was buried in , Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England.1 


Eleanore's family with Hugh Le Despenser

‌Eleanore and Hugh were married in a religious ceremony after June 14th, 1306 in Westminster, London, Middlesex, England.1   They had four sons and five daughters, named Philip Le, Edward, Gilbert, Hugh Le, Margaret, Elizabeth, Joan, Elizabeth and Isabel Le.
