John PHILLIPS 
John was born on October 23rd, 1821. John's father was David PHILLIPS and his mother was Mary (Polly) WATERS. His paternal grandparents were John PHILLIPS and Mary UNKNOWN. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, Levi Durham, Wilson Shelah, Benjamin Franklin, James, David Jr, Nancy, Sarah Ann and Mary Elizabeth Jane. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 40 on April 15th, 1862.-

John and Rebecca Jane were married in a religious ceremony on December 5th, 1845. They had four sons and four daughters, named William Anderson, Julius, John Huston, J. R. Graves, Mary Ann Frances, Margaret America, Martha Jane Howard and Sarah Rosetta.
