James M Butler 
James M was born in 1781 in North Carolina. James M's father was Thomas "Elias" Butler and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Starke. His paternal grandparents were Christopher John Butler and Mary Catherine Martin. He had four brothers named Rueben, John, Elias H and Johnatan Nealy. He is the third oldest of the five children. He had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Rueben, John Franklin, Neely, Joshua Daniel, Elias F, James Martin, Elizabeth, Judith, Sarah, Mary C. and Judah.-
