Margaret I of was born on June 2nd, 1202 in Valenciennes, Nord, France.1   Margaret I of's father was Baldwin IX of Flanders and her mother was Marie De Champagne.  Her paternal grandparents were Baudouin VII Count Of Flanders and Margarite Of Flanders Lorraine; her maternal grandparents were Henry I the Liberal of Champaigne and Mary Capet of France.  She was an only child.  She died in at, Gand.  She was buried in 1282 in Flines-Les-Morta, Nord, France.1 1
