Margarite Of Flanders was born about 1135 in Of, Alsace, France and her baptism took place in Flanders - aka Countess Margareta.1   Margarite Of Flanders' father was Dietrich Thierry D'Alsace and her mother was Sibilla D'Anjou.  Her paternal grandparents were Thierry I Dietricht I Duke Of Upper Lorraine and Gertrude of Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Foulques V le Jeune Anjou and Ermengarde of Maine. She had a brother named Matthieu.  She was the older of the two children.  She died on November 15th, 1194 in Flanders - 18th Count(ess) reign from 1191.1
