Logan Jasper was born on March 11th, 1879 in Edgecombe Co. NC. Logan Jasper's father was John R. Barnhill and his mother was Florence Anna Hargrove. His paternal grandparents were Lemuel E Barnhill and Caroline Arcenie Cooper; his maternal grandparents were Duncan Hargrove and Sally Land. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Edgar J., Lyculus "Lucius", Walter, David W., Lulu, Caroline Virginia and Carrie D.. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 75 on April 16th, 1954 in Enfield, Nash Co., NC.-
