Caroline Virginia was born in 1884 in Enfield, Nash Co., NC. Caroline Virginia's father was John R. Barnhill and her mother was Florence Anna Hargrove. Her paternal grandparents were Lemuel E Barnhill and Caroline Arcenie Cooper; her maternal grandparents were Duncan Hargrove and Sally Land. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Edgar J., Lyculus "Lucius", Logan Jasper, Walter, David W., Lulu and Carrie D.. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died in Nash County, NC.General Notes
