Joan was born about 1248 in <,Shere,Surrey,England>.1 Joan's father was John FitzGeoffrey , Justiciar of Ireland, Sir and her mother was Isabel , Countess of Essex Bigod. Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey FitzPiers De Mandeville Earl of Essex and Eveline (Aveline) De Clare; her maternal grandparents were Hugh II Le Bigod and Maud (Matilda) MARSHALL [Countess Of Nor. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Richard, Isabel, Maud, Maud, Isabel and Avelina. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Walter, Margery , Lady of Dulek and Maud. She died about May 26th, 1303.1 -
