Roese was born in 1252 in Tunbridge,Kent,England.1 Roese's father was Richard de Clare Earl of Gloucester and her mother was Maud De Lacy. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert de Clare IV Earl of Gloucester and Isabel , Countess of Hertford Marshall; her maternal grandparents were John De Lacy and Margaret De Quincy Countess Of Lincoln. She had two brothers named Gilbert "The Red" and Thomas. She was the youngest of the three children. She died after 1316.1 -
