Anne Or Elizabeth was born about 1468. Anne Or Elizabeth's father was John of Atholl Stewart and her mother was Eleanor Sinclair [CountessofAthol. Her paternal grandparents were James (Sir) (Black Knight of Lorn) Stewart and Joan de Beaufort Queen of Scotland; her maternal grandparents were William Sinclair [Earl of Orkney] and Marjory SUTHERLAND. She had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Andrew, Margaret, Christian, Margaret, Jean, Elizabeth and Elizabeth. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She had a half-sister named Janet (Jean).
