William de was born about 1198 in ,Alnwick,Northumberland,England.1   William de's father was Henry I de Percy Sheriff of Northumberland and his mother was Isabel Brus.  His paternal grandparents were Joscelin de Louvain and Agnes de Percy; his maternal grandparents were Adam II de Brus and Joanna De Meschines. He had a brother named Henry II de.  He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-sister named Mary.  He died about July 28th, 1245 in ,,Yorkshire,England.  He was buried in 1245 in Sallay Abby,West Riding,Yorkshire,England.1 1
