Robert Count de was born in 1031 in ,Mortaigne,Normandy,France.1   Robert Count de's father was Harlevin (Herlouin) Viscomte de Conteville and his mother was Harlette de Falaise.  His paternal grandparents were Jean of Tonnbridge De Conteville and Jean , wife of John of Tonsburgh; his maternal grandparents were Fulbert de Falaise and Duxia de Falaise. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Odo (Eudes) of, Odo de, Emma de, Miss de, Mathilde de and Muriel de.  He was the third oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ralph of, William "The Conqueror" of and Adelaide.  He died in ,,,France.  He was buried in Grestain Abbey.1 1
