Thyra was born about 0947 in Of,,,Denmark.1   Thyra's father was Harald III Bluetooth' King of Denmark and her mother was Gyrithe (Olafsdotter) Queen of Denmark.  Her paternal grandparents were Gorm del Gammel King of Denmark and Thyri (Thyra) Klacksdottir; her maternal grandparents were Olof "Mitkg" (Bjornsson) King of Sweden and Ingeberg Thrandsdotter. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Svend I "Forked Beard" King Of, Erik (Hring) King In, Wevia Duceline, Gunhild (Haraldsdatter) Princess of and Sigrid. She had two half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Herfast De, Herfast, Gunnora, Senfrie, Avelina FitzRichard, Weva Crefon De, Avelina, Emma, CREPON and Gundrada.  She died on September 18th, 1000 in ,,,Norway.1
