Sproata (Adela) of was born about 0878 in Bretagne,France.  Sproata (Adela) of's father was Herbert II Count of Vermandois and her mother was Hildebrante (Liegaude) of Neustria.  Her paternal grandparents were Herbert I Count of Vermandois and Beatrice de Morvois; her maternal grandparents were Robert I King of Franks and Béatrice de Vermandois. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Eudes Count of, Albert I "The Pious" of, Robert de, Robert of, Hugh Archbishop of, Renaud, Herbert of , Count of Meaux, Béatrice de, Kunigunde de, Luitgarde de, Adele (Alice) (Alix) and Adela de.  She died before 0940.1
