Renaud was born in 0926 in Roucy,Aisne,France Abt 937.1   Renaud's father was Herbert II Count of Vermandois and his mother was Hildebrante (Liegaude) of Neustria.  His paternal grandparents were Herbert I Count of Vermandois and Beatrice de Morvois; his maternal grandparents were Robert I King of Franks and Béatrice de Vermandois. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Eudes Count of, Albert I "The Pious" of, Robert de, Robert of, Hugh Archbishop of, Herbert of , Count of Meaux, Sproata (Adela) of, Béatrice de, Kunigunde de, Luitgarde de, Adele (Alice) (Alix) and Adela de.  He died in 10 May 967.  He was buried in Abbey of St. Remi,Rheims,Marne.1

‌Renaud and Alberade de were married in a religious ceremony about 0945 in France.1   They had four sons and three daughters, named Gilbert (Giselbert) de, Giselbert Count Of, Hugh I Lord Of, Lietaud or Letgarde, Gerberge De, Ermentrude (Irmtrude) Countess Of and Ermentrude.
