Miss de was born about 1037 in of,,Normandy,France.  Miss de's father was Harlevin (Herlouin) Viscomte de Conteville and her mother was Harlette de Falaise.  Her paternal grandparents were Jean of Tonnbridge De Conteville and Jean , wife of John of Tonsburgh; her maternal grandparents were Fulbert de Falaise and Duxia de Falaise. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Odo (Eudes) of, Robert Count de, Odo de, Emma de, Mathilde de and Muriel de.  She was the third youngest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ralph of, William "The Conqueror" of and Adelaide.
