Isabel was born in Amesbury,Wiltshire,England.  Isabel's father was Theobald Sir , Knight 2nd Lord Verdon de Verdon and her mother was Elizabeth De Clare Baroness of Damory.  Her paternal grandparents were Theobald , 1st Lord Verdon de Verdon and Margery; her maternal grandparents were Gilbert "The Red" de Clare Earl of Gloucester and Joan Plantagenet Princess of England. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William The Brown Earl of, Joan, Elizabeth and Margaret.  She died on July 25th, 1349.
