Minerva Rachel was born on April 10th, 1833 in Gwinnett Co., GA.1 Minerva Rachel's father was Jasper Kirkham McEwen and her mother was Mary Ann Canada. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Bort McEwen and Rachel Hawkins; her maternal grandparents were Jesse Canada and Sarah Jones. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Francis Marion, Benjamin Franklin, Robert Jasper, Elizabeth Amanda, Mary Ann, Almeda Emaline, Virginia Caroline, Martha Margaret, Newton Canida and Sarah Louisa. She was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 87 on June 20th, 1920 in TX.1 General Notes
