Herschel Edward was born on December 14th, 1915 in Rockford, Coosa Co., AL.1 Herschel Edward's father was John Sears McEwen and his mother was Nellie Ena Newman. His paternal grandparents were George Washington, Jr. McEwen and Attis Alice Allen. He had a brother named Sears Knight. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 82 on January 9th, 1998 in AL.1 -
